Gonzalo Villalobos is a passionate advocate for tenant rights and underserved communities. Since joining Nielsen Peterson and Nielsen LLP, Gonzalo has helped secure millions of dollars in settlements for clients living in uninhabitable and unsafe housing across California. His practice is focused on habitability cases where he works to hold landlords accountable and protect the rights of tenants.

Fluent in Spanish and English, Gonzalo is committed to making the legal process accessible and empowering. He takes time to explain every step to his clients so they feel confident, informed, and supported throughout their case. He believes that communication and trust are essential to delivering strong, effective representation.

Gonzalo was born and raised in Oxnard, California and is proud to serve the community that shaped him. As the son of agricultural workers, he brings a deep personal connection to his work and a strong commitment to helping those who may not otherwise have the means to advocate for themselves.

Before joining the firm, Gonzalo gained experience in personal injury and real estate law. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Santa Barbara Colleges of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Gonzalo is admitted to the California Bar and is based in Ventura, where he continues to fight for justice across the region and beyond.

In his free time, Gonzalo enjoys traveling and having new experiences with his fiancée and their two dogs.
