Melinda Castro
Born and raised in Ventura County, Melinda Castro brings deep local roots and a passionate commitment to justice to her role at NPN Law. A proud single mother of two boys and part of a large, close-knit family, Melinda’s values are grounded in community, compassion, and resilience.
Melinda earned her undergraduate degree from CSU Channel Islands and went on to attend law school locally at The Ventura and Santa Barbara Colleges of Law. With a background in personal injury, some criminal defense, and a strong focus on plaintiff-side civil litigation, she has built a reputation as a fierce advocate for tenant rights.
At NPN Law, Melinda specializes in representing clients facing retaliatory evictions. In just under two years with the firm, she has secured over half a million dollars in settlements, a testament to her tenacity and dedication.
Outside the courtroom, Melinda is a longtime Sunday school teacher at her lifelong church. She enjoys spending time with her 5 sisters, and especially loves being an involved aunt to her 20 nieces and nephews. Her passions include hitting the gym for powerlifting, listening to music, and indulging in her favorite food—Mexican burritos.
